Terms of use
FramingMath is a free set of framing calculators. By using the site you agree to a few common-sense terms — the most important being that the results are estimates to check, not cutting instructions to trust blindly.
Last updated: June 12, 2026
Provided “as is”
FramingMath and everything on it are provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. We work hard to get the math right and test it against known values, but we can't guarantee the site is error-free or always available.
Results are estimates — verify before you cut
Every number the calculators produce is an estimate based on what you enter. Measurements, rounding, material thickness, frame rabbet depth and a hundred small real-world variables mean your project can differ from the model.
Always measure twice and confirm the figures yourself before you cut a mat or glass, order custom framing, or buy materials. Treat a result as a starting point to check against your own measurements, not as a guarantee.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for your own cuts, purchases and projects. That includes verifying every dimension, allowing for your tools and materials, and following the safety instructions for any cutter, glass or blade you use.
No liability for wasted materials
To the fullest extent allowed by law, FramingMath is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site — including wasted mat board, glass, frames or materials, miscut pieces, lost time, or any incidental or consequential damages. If a calculation looks off, stop and re-check before committing materials.
Intellectual property
The site's content, design, diagrams and code are owned by FramingMath and protected by applicable law. You're welcome to use the calculators and to share result links freely. Please don't copy, scrape or republish the site's content or diagrams as your own.
Acceptable use
Use FramingMath for lawful, personal or professional framing work. Don't attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer for republication, or misuse the site, and don't use it in any way that breaks the law or infringes someone else's rights.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time; the date above shows the latest revision. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
